Σε αυτήν τη νέα Ημέρα της Αφρικής, θα ανανεώσουμε τη φιλία και την αδελφοσύνη μας με την αδελφή ήπειρο
Μήνυμα του Υπουργείου Εξωτερικών για την Ημέρα της Αφρικής.
Φέτος, γιορτάζουμε την Ημέρα της Αφρικής στην Κούβα υπό έκτακτες συνθήκες λόγω της πανδημίας Covid-19. Ωστόσο, αυτό δεν θα εμποδίσει ένα γεγονός ιδιαίτερης σημασίας, όπως η δημιουργία στις 25 Μάη 1963 του Οργανισμού για την Αφρικανική Ενότητα (OAU), που μετονομάστηκε το 2002 σε Αφρικανική Ένωση (UA), να το θυμόμαστε όπως πάντα κάναμε οι Κουβανοί.
Σε αυτήν τη νέα Ημέρα της Αφρικής, θα ανανεώσουμε τη φιλία και την αδελφοσύνη μας με την αδελφή ήπειρο με την οποία μας συνδέουν δεσμοί αίματος, πολιτισμού και ιστορίας.
Ο Ηγέτης της Κουβανικής Επανάστασης (Comandante en Jefe), Φιντέλ Κάστρο Ρους, τόνιζε πάντα το «καθήκον αποζημίωσης» που έχουν οι Κουβανοί για την Αφρική, για τον κρίσιμο ρόλο που έχουν διαδραματίσει οι Αφρικανοί και οι απόγονοί τους στους πολέμους της ανεξαρτησίας της χώρας μας και για τη συμβολή τους στην οικοδόμηση του έθνους μας της Καραϊβικής.
Ήμασταν μαζί στους αγώνες κατά της αποικιοκρατίας και του απαρτχάιντ, και στις αναπτυξιακές προσπάθειες. Περίπου 6.000 Κουβανοί επαγγελματίες στους τομείς της υγείας, της εκπαίδευσης, του αθλητισμού και της γεωργίας παρέχουν τις υπηρεσίες τους σε 32 αφρικανικές χώρες. Σχεδόν 9.000 Αφρικανοί υπότροφοι σπουδάζουν στην ανώτατη εκπαίδευση στη χώρα μας.
Η Αφρική είναι σήμερα καθοριστικός παράγοντας στις διεθνείς υποθέσεις. Τα 55 κράτη μέλη της αποτελούν το ένα τρίτο της Γενικής Συνέλευσης των Ηνωμένων Εθνών και τα μισά σε άλλα παγκόσμια φόρουμ, όπως το Κίνημα των Αδεσμεύτων και η Ομάδα των 77 + Κίνας.
Η Κούβα ευχαριστεί για την ομόφωνη υποστήριξη των κυβερνήσεων, των ηγετών, των οργανώσεων και των λαών της Αφρικής στον αγώνα κατά του αποκλεισμού, συμπεριλαμβανομένης της ψήφου υπέρ του ψηφίσματος «Ανάγκη τερματισμού του οικονομικού, εμπορικού και χρηματοπιστωτικού αποκλεισμού που επέβαλαν οι Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες της Αμερικής κατά της Κούβας», που εγκρίνεται κάθε χρόνο από τη Γενική Συνέλευση των Ηνωμένων Εθνών, καθώς και την έγκριση για έντεκα συναπτά έτη ψηφίσματος κατά του αποκλεισμού εντός της Αφρικανικής Ένωσης.
Σε αυτές τις πολύπλοκες συνθήκες που αντιμετωπίζει η ανθρωπότητα, η Κούβα κάνει έκκληση στη διεθνή κοινότητα να υποστηρίξει την Αφρική στον αγώνα κατά της πανδημίας Covid-19 και τις τρομερές οικονομικές, κοινωνικές και οικονομικές της συνέπειες. Οι αφρικανικοί λαοί, που τόσα πολλά έχουν κάνει για την ανθρωπότητα, το αξίζουν.
Επιβεβαιώνουμε ότι οι σχέσεις της Κούβας με τους λαούς και τις κυβερνήσεις της Αφρικής είναι αναλλοίωτες και ότι, πιστοί στην ιστορική και αλληλέγγυα παράδοσή μας, θα συνεχίσουμε να ενισχύουμε τους δεσμούς φιλίας και συνεργασίας με αυτήν την αδελφή ήπειρο.
Ζήτω η αδελφότητα μεταξύ Αφρικής και Κούβας!

En este nuevo Día de África, renovaremos
nuestra amistad y fraternidad con el continente hermano

Este año, celebramos en Cuba el Día de África en
condiciones excepcionales por la pandemia de la Covid-19. Sin embargo, ello no
impedirá que un acontecimiento de tan extraordinaria relevancia, como la
creación el 25 de mayo de 1963 de la Organización para la Unidad Africana
(OUA), devenida en 2002 en Unión Africana (UA), lo recordemos como hemos hecho
siempre los cubanos.
En este nuevo Día de África, renovaremos nuestra amistad
y fraternidad con el continente hermano al que nos unen lazos de sangre, cultura
e historia.
El Comandante en Jefe de la Revolución cubana, Fidel
Castro Ruz,resaltó siempre el «deber de compensación» que los cubanos tienen
con África, por el crucial papel desempeñado por los africanos y sus
descendientes en las guerras independentistas de nuestro país y su aporte a la
construcción de nuestra nación caribeña.
Estuvimos juntos en las luchas contra el colonialismo y
el apartheid, y en los esfuerzos por el desarrollo. Alrededor de 6000
colaboradores cubanos en las esferas de la salud, la educación, el deporte y la
agricultura prestan sus servicios en 32 países africanos. Cerca de 9000
becarios africanos cursan estudios superiores en nuestro país.
África es hoy un decisivo actor en los asuntos
internacionales. Sus 55 Estados miembros constituyen un tercio de la Asamblea
General de Naciones Unidas y la mitad en otros foros de concertación global,
como el Movimiento de Países No Alineados y el Grupo de los 77 + China.
Cuba agradece el apoyo unánime de los gobiernos, líderes,
organizaciones y pueblos de África, a la lucha contra el bloqueo, incluido el
voto a favor de la resolución “Necesidad de poner fin al bloqueo económico,
comercial y financiero impuesto por Estados Unidos de América contra Cuba” que
cada año aprueba la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas, así como la
adopción por once años consecutivos de una resolución contra el bloqueo en el
seno de la Unión Africana.
En estas complejas circunstancias que atraviesa la
humanidad, Cuba hace un llamado a la comunidad internacional a apoyar a África
en la lucha contra la pandemia de la Covid-19 y sus nefastas consecuencias
económicas, sociales y financieras. Los pueblos africanos, que tanto han hecho
por la humanidad, así lo merecen.
Ratificamos que las relaciones de Cuba con los pueblos y gobiernos
de África son indestructibles y que, leales a nuestra tradición histórica y
solidaria, continuaremos reforzando los lazos de amistad y cooperación con ese
hermano continente.
¡Viva la hermandad entre África y Cuba!

On this new celebration of Africa Day we renew our friendship
and fraternity with the sister continent
Message of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs on the occasion of Africa Day
This year we commemorate Africa Day in Cuba under exceptional
conditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This, however, will not prevent that
such a relevant event as the foundation on May 25, 1963 of the Organization of
African Unity (OAU), renamed African Union (AU) in 2002 be celebrated as we
Cuban always do.
On this new celebration of Africa Day, we will renew our
friendship and fraternity with that sister continent to which we are bond by
blood, cultural and historical ties.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban revolution Fidel Castro Ruz
always stressed the “debt of gratitude” owed by Cubans to Africa for the
crucial role played by the Africans and their descendants in the wars for
Independence of our country and their contribution to the consolidation of our
Caribbean nation.
We stood together in the fight against colonialism and Apartheid
and in the development efforts. Around 6,000 Cuban collaborators in the
fields of health, education, sports and agriculture are providing their
services in 32 African countries. Nearly 9,000 African students are
pursuing higher education in our country.
Africa is today a decisive actor in international affairs.
Its 55 member States account for one third of the United Nations General
Assembly and half of the membership of other global fora such as the Movement
of Non-Aligned Countries and the Group of 77 and China.
Cuba appreciates the unanimous support of the African
governments, leaders, organizations and peoples in the fight against the
blockade, including the vote in favor of the resolution entitled: “Necessity of
ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United
States of America against Cuba”, adopted every year by the United Nations
General Assembly, as well as the adoption for eleven years in a row of a
resolution against the blockade within the African Union.
Under the complex circumstances Mankind is facing, Cuba calls on
the international community to support Africa in its fight against the Covid-19
pandemic and its terrible economic, social and financial consequences. The
African people, who have done so much for Mankind, deserve it.
We ratify once again that Cuba’s relations with the African
governments and peoples are indestructible and that, loyal to our historic
tradition and solidarity, we will continue to strengthen the ties of friendship
and cooperation with that sister continent.
Long live the brotherhood between Africa and Cuba!
